Aaron Judge ‘multi-homer’ again…MLB legend ‘within striking distance’ of record

(MHN Sports) Aaron Judge is about to make major league history.

The outfielder went 4-for-4 with three doubles, three runs scored, three RBIs and a home run in the second game of the 2023 Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series against the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington, U.S., on Tuesday (June 30).

After reaching on a fielder’s choice in his first at-bat in the first inning, Judge hit a two-run home run over the left field wall off Seattle starter Bryce Miller with the bases loaded in the top of the third inning with the score tied 1-1.

He followed that up with a bases-loaded double to left in the fifth inning. He later scored on Calhoun’s RBI double to center field.

Judge completed his 먹튀검증 multi-homer performance in the top of the sixth inning with an 8-4 lead, again blasting a solo shot to left off reliever Juan Den.

In his final at-bat in the eighth inning, he drew a walk but was unable to follow it up.

It’s been about a month since Judge hit a multi-homer game, which he did on April 16 against the Toronto Blue Jays.

It gave him 31 career multi-homer games and moved him into fourth place on the MLB’s all-time multi-homer list, four games behind Major League Baseball legend DiMaggio (35).

Babe Ruth (68 games) holds the major league record for most career multi-homer games, followed by Mickey Mantle (46), Lou Gehrig (43), DiMaggio, and Aaron Judge.

With his 16th and 17th home runs of the season, he moved to within three of Jordan Alvarez (Houston Astros) and Adolis Garcia (Texas Rangers, 14) for the American League lead in home runs.

Since returning from a hip injury on April 10, Judge has hit .357 with 11 home runs and 24 RBIs in 19 games.

The Yankees also rode Jersey’s performance to a 10-4 win over Seattle on Sunday. It was their third straight win.
