Samsung Lions left-handed pitcher Lee Seung-hyun (21), who was sent down to the second team due to back pain, has begun his comeback.
Lee appeared as the team’s third pitcher after Jang Pil-joon and Park Se-woong against the NC Dinos Future in the 2023 Shinhan Bank 토토사이트 SOL KBO League at Masan Stadium on Thursday.
Lee came out in the bottom of the sixth inning. He immediately gave up a solo home run to Choi Bo-sung, who was batting in place of Park Seok-min. He then gave up a single to Kim Bum-jun. He struck out Han Seok-hyun, but gave up a walk to Choi Woo-jae to put runners on first and second.

However, he struck out Kim Soo-yoon and grounded out Kim Hyung-joon to end the inning without further damage. On the day, Lee gave up one run on two hits (one home run) and one walk while striking out two. He turned the mound over to Kim Tae-woo in the seventh inning.
Lee was sent down to the second team on July 17 with back pain. At the time, Samsung manager Park Jin-man said, “I’m feeling discomfort in my back. I think it will be difficult for him to throw the ball for a few days, so I removed him from the first team roster.”
Lee Seung-hyun replaced Oh Seung-hwan as Samsung’s closer for a while. This season, Lee is 1-1 with a 4.61 ERA in 15 games with three saves.
Meanwhile, the matchup between Samsung and NC resulted in a 12-4 victory for NC. Rookie Shin Young-woo got the win for NC, pitching five innings and striking out 11.
