Women’s volleyball GS Caltex overcame the bad news that the main gun Moma Basoko (registered name MoMA) left due to injury during the game and destroyed the leading Hyundai E&C.
GS Caltex beat Hyundai E&C with a set score of 3-2 (25-22 19-25 19-25 25-23 15-12) in the Dodram 2022-2023 V-League Women’s home game held at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on the 20th.
It has been 686 days since the victory of GS Caltex over Hyundai Engineering & Construction on March 5, 2021, in the 2020-2021 season.
GS Caltex, which escaped its 8-game losing streak against Hyundai E&C, added 2 points to 11-11, 33 points, pushed Korea Expressway Corporation (11-10, 32 points) and jumped to third place alone.
GS Caltex suffered a leg injury in the process of landing after an attack by Moma in the beginning of the 4th set, which was dragged by a set score of 1-2.
Mo Ma was immediately replaced with Moon Ji-yoon and received treatment on the bench.
After MoMA disappeared, the GS Caltex players came together and overcame the crisis.
In 11-10, Yoo Seo-yeon’s two consecutive goals and the opponent’s offense tied up and ran away to 14-10, and even after losing one point due to Kim Ji-won’s serve offense, Yoo Seo-yeon’s two sub-aces were tied to widen the score to 19-11.
Leading Hyundai E&C pursued at the end of the set and followed until 23-23, but GS Caltex took the set point with Yoo Seo-yeon’s blow, and then Moon Ji-yoon’s quick open, which replaced Moma, took the game to the 5th set.
It was Yoo Seo-yeon who came out as the 5th set solver at GS Caltex.
In a situation where they were leading 11-9, Yoo Seo-yeon scored twice in a row to widen the score to 13-9.
When Hyundai E&C followed up to 14-12 with Yang Hyo-jin at the fore, Yoo Seo-yeon bombarded the opponent’s court again to end the game.
For GS Caltex, Kang So-hui scored the most points in the team with 25 points and 3 blocks, while Yoo Seo-yeon and Han Su-ji contributed 12 points each.
MoMA showed destructive power by scoring 24 points until being replaced at the beginning of the 4th set.
Hyundai E&C, which continued to rise even without foreign player Yasmin Bedart (registered name Yasmin), ended its 5-game winning streak with its 3rd loss of the season (20 wins).
Satisfied with adding 1 point, Hyundai E&C widened the gap with Heungkuk Life Insurance (17-5, 51 points) in second place with 57 points to 6 points.
At Hyundai E&C, Yang Hyo-jin scored 20 points and Jeong Ji-yoon and Hwang Min-kyung each scored 19 points.
It was regrettable that Hwang Yeon-joo, who had been active as an apositive spiker after Yasmin’s departure, slowed down with 12 points in one back attack.
In the men’s match held at the Suwon Gymnasium, the lead Korean Air won 3-2 (25-22 22-25 25-18 15-25 18-16) after a full set match with KEPCO.
Korean Air, with 19 wins and 4 losses and 55 points, widened the gap with second place Hyundai Capital (14 wins and 8 losses, 43 points).
The match, in which Korean Air scored 9 points on serve and KEPCO scored 8 points on serve, was decided only at the end of the 5th set.
The winner was the serve.
In a situation where Korean Air was driven to the match point, 15-16, KEPCO tied the score with the sub room of Ties less host (registered name Thais).
It was Korean Air’s luck that the serve order returned to the strong server Jung Ji-seok.
While KEPCO’s receive was shaken by Jeong Ji-seok’s strong serve, Seo Jae-deok’s hard hit from an uneasy position caught on the net and Korean Air regained the lead.
And as Jeong Ji-seok’s spike serve was stuck in the KEPCO court, the game ended.
Jeong Ji-seok scored 18 points, 3 points for back attack, 3 points for serving, and 2 points for blocking, one point missing from the triple crown.
KEPCO (8 wins, 14 losses, 27 points), who remained in 5th place, was disappointed that the main gun Thais (26 points) only recovered his condition in the second half of the game. 바카라
