While the International Football Federation (FIFA) unveiled 11 nominees for the 2022 Puskas Award, a fantastic goal scene in special soccer was also nominated.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) announced on its official website in December of last year, “The ‘The Best FIFA Football Awards 2022 Awards Ceremony’, which selects outstanding players in the world’s most popular sports, will be held on February 27, 2022. Voting will begin on January 12, 2023.”
At the awards ceremony hosted by FIFA, the Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Manager of the Year, Puskas Awards, Fan Awards, Fair Play Awards, and FIFPro World’s Best Eleven will be announced.
In the midst of this, 11 nominees for the Puskas Award, which has the same meaning as Goal of the Year, were also revealed. In particular, this nomination also included a scene that is unfamiliar to many, but catches the eye.
It is the goal scene of the Polish Amputee Football League.
Among players playing soccer on crutches, when one player raised a cross, Mashin Oleksi raised his body supported by crutches and attempted a fantastic bicycle kick with his right foot, succeeding in scoring.
Oleksi, who fell down after the shot, got up immediately after confirming his goal. His teammates hugged him and congratulated him on his goal. 메이저놀이터
Masin Oleksi, who was nominated for the Puskas Prize, had his left leg amputated below the knee in a 2010 accident with a speeding vehicle during road construction. For him, a 23-year-old soccer player and goalkeeper in the 3rd and 4th divisions, it was like a thunderstorm.
However, he was able to return to football with the help of people around him, and from 2019 he started playing in the Amputee Soccer League for those who have undergone amputations or have physical disabilities in their limbs.
He currently participates in the Polish AMP Football League (a league for people who have had amputees) as a member of the Para soccer team of Varta Poznan, a member of Polish Extraklasa. He was also on the Polish amputee football team and participated in the 2022 Turkey Amputee World Cup.
Regarding being nominated for the Puskas Award, Oleksi said in an interview with Poland’s AMP Football Poland, “I can’t believe that I have been nominated for the FIFA Award. It’s amazing. I am happy to have this opportunity. I hope it will help promote and develop AMP Soccer not only in Poland but also around the world.”
Meanwhile, in addition to Oleksi, the Puskas Award included goals scored through wonderful scenes, such as French striker Kylian Mbappe’s right-footed scissor kick in the 2022 Qatar World Cup final against Argentina, and Hischarlisson’s overhead kick in the group stage match against Switzerland.
